Students who are learning English need to be exposed to the language through many different modalities. Our classroom is lucky enough to have iPads so students can use apps to practice reading and math. Headphones are needed so they can hear text being read aloud, hear instructions, and hear words and pronunciation that is completely new to them. Hearing is an incredible part of learning! As students hear information that is presented to them, they are able to create meaning in a new way. It is important to expose students to new information through different senses, and hearing is one of the most important!
