One of the things most elementary classrooms fail to consider is just how difficult it can be for hyperkinetic 10, 11 and 12 year olds to be seated on hard plastic chairs for 45-60 minutes of lesson time. The Balance balls I have requested will enable students to move while seated, allowing them to expel energy while staying on task. In addition, the cozy floor chairs will help to create an environment that is more conducive to the encouragement of reading for enjoyment. In both cases, my students will be able to overcome the evils of hard plastic classroom chairs.
