The new school year is approaching in full gear! This means that I have been given the opportunity to inspire 8th-grade minds and challenge them to find the writer within. To be able to accomplish our goal of becoming literary activists that use words as our source of power, my students need the right tools to do so such as: pencils, colored pens, paper, construction paper, Post-Its, etc. My students are extraordinary writers with stories just waiting to be written! All my kiddos have a passion for writing; however, many of them don't have the privilege of being able to afford their basic school materials. But these setbacks​ WILL NOT and CANNOT come in between their rise to excellence! Help us build our classroom writing center to ensure that my students always have the necessary materials to tell the untold stories of their community.
