Each of the games and activities were chosen with a specific student or group of students in mind. I have some students who love to do hands-on activities and build and would love the LEGO and magnetic activities, others that are competitive and need to have an opportunity to challenge other students like in Battleship and Set, and still more are artistic and would love the opportunity to learn origami. I have students who love math and would love the math games, and others who are more into language and would enjoy games like Quiddler. All of the students need the opportunity to engage their minds in different ways. I also have varying levels of students in this class, several with ADHD and others with other health impairments. The opportunity to build and create is one that they don't often get in today's education. All of my students need this opportunity to stretch their thinking and engage in hands-on activities. They are good students who need an outlet for their energy and I believe these activities will provide that for them.

About my class
