I chose the LEGO Mindstorms kit, because of its flexibility, dynamic functionality, and provided guided lessons. The embedded structure of the kit will not only help students design and code robots, but also give me guidance on how to pace and design coursework using the kit. Using this kit, students will be able to draw upon their math skills to build increasingly complex robots, eventually designing and coding their own robots! This project can help our students make real life connections between the content they learn in STEM classes and their interesting real life applications, so long as we don't step on any of the Legos! Ouch!
