The items we have chosen are necessary for building a volleyball program of which our students can be proud. Some of the items are essential whereas others are simply items that will enhance our program. A replacement net is an essential part of playing the game. Although we really need a new net system, due to the fact that one of our poles is bent, a replacement net would allow us to continue playing. Our current net has to be tied on with ropes and is not regulation height. The volleyball socks are items that will promote team pride and unity. Many of our girls parents struggled to buy uniform requirements such as, shorts, knee pads, and shoes. Therefore, we did not want to burden them with extra expenses. However, having matching socks would help the team unify and create a sense of pride in their appearance, since almost all of their opponents are dressed from head to toe in a unified team expression.
