These 8th grade students will be given the opportunity to bring their history knowledge to life. The students will be able to make life long connections through out the trip. The experience of our Nation's Capitol up close and personal is an unforgettable trip for these students. This trip is often the only trip these students get to take. Highlights of the trip include: A Memorial Monument Tour may including FDR, Jefferson, MLK Jr., Viet Nam, Korean War, Lincoln, World War II Memorials. Arlington National Cemetery – Narrated Public Trolley Tour. The Holocaust Museum and/or National Museum of African American History and Culture. Visits to many other Smithsonian Museums. Photo Ops in front of the White House and/or Capitol Building. On the way home a Step On Guided Tour – Gettysburg National Military Park & Battlefield.
