I have the privilege of teaching special education at a school nestled in the foothills of Eastern Kentucky. Throughout the day, my classroom becomes a safe place to learn for many unique, motivated and diverse learners. Since the vast majority of my exceptional learners come from low-income homes, I have decided that I will do whatever it takes to make sure they have access to the resources needed in order to have the absolute best educational experience possible, despite the financial difficulties many of them face daily. I want my students to know that regardless of any learning disability, financial situation, or obstacle, they can achieve their goals and reach their fullest learning potential. My students know that I will forever be in their corner, cheering them on as they set goals and master them!
