My Students attend an urban public school in Massachusetts. Forty percent of my students are ESL learners. Many of my students come from low social economic backgrounds They are a very diverse group containing many cultures from around the world. My students are invested in their learning and love science. They are engaged in learning by doing. They retain more knowledge by doing the investigation in science rather than reading about science. Hands-on science is very important to diversify all the learning styles in the classroom.
