Many of my students do not have access to materials at home. For this reason, I incorporate as much hands-on learning as possible. We have gone through almost all our supplies in two months, due to the quantity of students I see. Having more supplies will ensure that all students throughout the school year will be exposed to developmentally appropriate activities that enhance learning. Students are engaged in a variety of science, math, engineering, and art projects throughout the school year. These materials are essential for the projects that the children complete. We typically record data in our science notebooks, draw out solutions to problems, and create art to deepen our understanding of complex concepts.
