My students will use the headphones with a computer program that allows them to record themselves. They can play back what they record so they can hear how they are speaking in English. This will help move them along with reading and writing skills. The faster an ESL student begins to speak, the faster they begin to master reading and writing. This is essential in helping them to become successful in the classroom and beyond. These headphones could benefit them in so many ways aside from academic achievements. The headphones will later be used for the state language assessment all ESL students have to take. Having them ahead of time and using them to practice will greatly help them improve their language scores.
