The materials that we have ordered will give students greater understanding of the kind of traits that make successful people.The book that details the great Jackie Robinson's life will be read first. This book will show students how perseverance and tenacity in ones life can lead to greatness. The class is also going to start an unit about bullying and how it effects all types of people. "Bullying Under Attack: True Stories Written by Teenage Victims,Bullies, and Bystanders" will be a great resource for my class to empathize and learn about bullying and the many victims associated with this terrible behavior. The chance to have my students read and learn these texts will pay dividends for years to come for my special ed. students, thank you for this opportunity!
