My students love to read about the characters found tucked away in their books. Some envision living the life of a movie star, while others sink back into their grade school days, realizing that life was easier when they didn't have all the problems of the world on their shoulders. The characters take on a new role for them and, if only for a moment, they are taken to a whole new place. The books will help my students realize they are not alone and we all know that life is easier to cope with, when someone else comes along beside us.
