Students in my classroom will learn using technology, which will make abstract ideas come alive through using visual and multimedia applications. My students have various special needs, that require individualized educational planing including highly engaging material to help support understanding as well as assistive technology to support writing and reading skills. Students will use iPads daily to practice academic skills and to better understand material through use of engaging and educational online applications. In our classroom we use technology across all subjects, but often old laptops break or take a long time to load which results in lost instructional and independent work time. Having new working iPads in the classroom will help me run the classroom smoothly meeting every child’s unique needs throughout the day. Use of iPads will help me prepare individual plans for each student, keep track of progress and assess. Thank you for supporting students with special needs.
