My Gifted students (along with other students in our school) crave and need something that helps excite them about learning, and falls outside the realm of the "regular" classroom setting and learning experiences. My principal and I strongly feel that my creating and coaching a school Scholar's Bowl Team would both provide our Gifted students with positive motivation to learn all that they can, as well as give our school a more positive academic image and "something to brag about" to the local community. By being part of a school Scholar's Bowl Team, students would see that it's ok and acceptable to be "smart". Plus, it's fun and exciting!
