My students participate in an after school program that teaches them how to build their own apps and a business plan to launch and sell them. We plan to compete in a business competition in April, but we need Android devices to create our apps. Most of my students can not afford to purchase tablets for themselves. We would work in groups to create apps and develop business plans to support and sell them. The program is geared toward middle and high school students, but this group of 5th graders is rising to the challenge quite nicely. We have lots of entrepreneurial mindsets being formed, and I would hate to see their hopes dashed due to the lack of materials available.
