Second graders have shown me that there is an amazing author inside each scholar. These children are imaginitive and observant, with insights into their world that surprise and delight. Unfortunately, our curriculum lacks a strong writing component to support students in reaching their full potential. This year, I'm excited to supplement with a dual language writers' workshop, a learning resource that promotes student study, practice, and love of writing. This project will equip us with the resources to carry out a writers' workshop: supplies to write, organize, and display work along with quality mentor texts to emulate. By donating to our project you will support these young authors flourish in their confidence and voice! As students go through the steps of writers' workshop across different genres, they will also grow as readers, thinkers, and thoughtful editors. I cannot wait to read and share their hard work. We thank you for your consideration!
