Each year I try to introduce science to my 5th graders with a fun yet challenging experiment that will excite them about questioning, exploring, and testing. This Triple Bottle Rocket Launcher will allow for all of these character and scientist like qualities. Students will be involved in learning about flight, pressure, and rocket design. We will launch not only to experiment but to compete best designs for distance and hang-time. In doing so, students will live the scientific process of questioning then solving a problem. Most importantly, it is hands on and creates long lasting learning that transfers to so many other areas of life.
