My students are excited to learn how to read and write in their home language! Having these materials and tools in the classroom will help them maneuver around the classroom and have a more efficient workflow! Students are able to know where all their materials are and access them easily. Although it is hard to find materials for Haitian Creole, these few books will help them see a a bit more variety than the books we have already begun reading in class. The whiteboards will help my students interactively answer questions in real time. They will be more excited to answer their questions in this manner. The timer will help students see how much time they have on assignments and better help them with time management on different tasks. I will be able to create and laminate Haitian Creole task cards, visuals, etc. They will be able to have a plethora of Haitian Creole visuals that I am able to create for them. They are able to create beautiful projects with the glue, color pencils, construction paper and scissors. These will help their projects come to life. They will also be able to learn letters and numbers with visuals with these great books. These materials will enhance their learning greatly! I want to truly help these kids become bilingual!
