The UNICEF Kid Power fit bands will motivate my students to learn more about children in other parts of the world who are suffering from malnutrition. Students will learn that malnutrition isn't just when you don't have access to food or clean water, but can also be a result of a poor diet. The UNICEF bands record a student's step activity, which translate to earning food therapy packets. Those packets are sent to a crisis area of the world for children in that region. My students will learn about, and monitor, their own nutritional and physical health, the impact climate change is having on the world's food supply, and at the same time save children's lives. My goal is to empower my students with these life long lessons for a healthier life.
