I focus on inquiry based learning in my classroom and collecting data is one of the most important inquiry based skills. I would like for my students to be able to use scientific tools, such as a temperature probe to increase their skills. This project will help my students work on this skill using temperature probes. These probes will help them collect accurate data over a period of time. The students can measure temperature over a period of time and will increase their knowledge by being able to see the data in real time. The temperature probe would give the students a visual representation of real time data. Science is a hands on learning experience and as a teacher, I want my students to experience real world application. We measure temperature throughout the year, the units we measure temperature are Energy and Weather. The temperature probe will make a difference by giving the students a digital tool to measure.
