Our number one goal for our 5th grade students is to help them fall in love with reading and develop a lifelong passion for wonderful books! By building our classroom libraries full of engaging, high-quality books, it's easy for students to find one that's a perfect fit, such as books like The Cardboard Kingdom, Watchdog, and Shadow Weaver. The books we've selected are the Bluebonnet Award nominees for 2019-2020, and they will help expand our classroom libraries with wonderful new literature that our students will love! Many of our students don't experience the enrichment of a home full of books and a love of reading, and our classroom library is a home-away-from-home - a cozy environment, full of wonderful books, where reading is celebrated and shared. You never know what book might be the one that will spark a lifetime of reading, but we know this year's Bluebonnet nominees have some wonderful contenders that will help us build an amazing library!
