These materials will be used to prototype and design a novel system to deliver white-nose syndrome fighting antifungal agents to affected bats. This delivery method hopes to be an efficient means of fighting the disease and preserving the bat populations. Students will be involved in all stages from planning, coding, building, and prototyping this system. Students will be broken into teams and will incrementally develop the system through their different groups. Each group will specialize and attack the problem and present the best solution to the given problem. This will give students experience in real-world problem-solving which they can apply to future endeavors. The project will be created with the use of the Raspberry Pi microcomputers, the batteries will be used to power the system, and the pump and misting nozzles will be used to generate the mist which will be controlled by the Raspberry Pi microcomputers.
