The white board is super important use during our classroom time and during our Restorative Justice circles. We like to share our ideas on the white paper and post them up all around the school as SEL( social emotional learning) practice for other students and visitors to see. Especially when using colored markers it brings great attention to detail. Sometimes you need to step out of the box and change it up a bit. We hold classroom space outside of the classroom setting and take it outside. This is sometimes hard when you don't have an isle to set up. But with the donors choice, I'm hope we can get that approved. I know this will also save us a lot of tape. At the end of the year, students perform at a multi cultural event hosted for the whole school and families. It's a festive time and the students get to showcase what they have done. With the school lunch not being up to standards for these students, I've asked for snacks. Its hard to focus and engage students especially if they're hungry. Especially if its a long day and students are preparing for a family event or a school assembly they need a snack break to function
