Kids love to have voice and choice. Just as I choose a special place in my home to work or settle in with a good book, I want my students to have the choice to be comfy while they work. I like to read in my big comfy chair, and I have chosen a bean bag chair for students to snuggle up with a great book. However, when I am writing or working on bills, I like to sit on a cushioned chair at a table. Our school provides hard gray chairs for students, but I have chosen the soft barrel seats for kids to have a soft place to sit. This project will help me create an environment that is welcoming and provides students with choice.

About my class
