Having a cozy place and seat to curl up with a book will create excitement for my first graders. When six year old students are expected to sit and read for 20 minutes, they will look forward to getting a comfy little chair and sitting in it to enjoy and learn from their books. When those same students are expected to read with a partner for an additional 20 minutes they can use the inviting jumbo pillows to sit next to each other and dig deep into their books supporting each other. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student reading stamina and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic reading achievement.

About my class
