My classroom has 19 1st graders. Over half of them are working below the grade level expectation for math and reading. Our school is a Title One school, so over half of our students also face some economic challenges. Our school, like so many others, does not have the funds to properly support what the students need in the classroom. My goal is to always do what's best for the students! My main instructional focus this year is to get my students to be great thinkers! If they can learn HOW to problem solve and work through difficult problems and situations, that will help them immensely as they go through life. I want all of my students to love learning and to be equipped to face challenging things with perseverance.

About my class
