The students will use the Crayola Kid's Markers, Dixon Watercolors, and the Crayola Color pencils to illustrate their self-portrait on the Pacon Drawing Paper. They will use mixed media to express their feelings and unique voices through the changes brought on by the COVID pandemic. When changes occur in the lives of children, they do not always get an opportunity to express their voices. This project allows the students to do just that. While their self-portraits do not have to include their faces, it will include things that allow the students to share their ideas and experiences while learning from home and making transitions back into the school. Using materials to express oneself is the best type of art.
