I have purchased these book pouches for ten years because we know that literacy outcomes are greatly improved when children read and many of my students do not have age appropriate reading material in their homes. I use these pouches to send home 2 or 3 books per week. Students are excited about picking books to share with their families and the home/school connection is strengthened. I am able to continuously send books home because these pouches make it easy to keep track of books and stay organized. We know that if students are not reading on grade level by third grade, it's less likely that they will have academic success. As a kindergarten teacher, I am fortunate to be able to set the stage for their academic career. My job is to make reading as accessible and fun as possible. Year after year, these book pouches help me organize books and communicate reading strategies that parents can work on with their children. Best of all, students and families love them!
