Within the classroom, students have various disabilities and to ensure comprehensible input, I scaffold Next Generation Science Standards in order for all students to participate in labs. Our science classroom exposes high schoolers to NGSS standards based on hands-on experiments or models with modified lenses, so students feel confident in the classroom. Each science unit, provides various activities that utilize materials like popsicle sticks, rubber bands, glue, yarn, baking soda, etc. All these materials can solidify learning by using visual and kinesthetic learning styles.
