Flexible seating is becoming more popular in classrooms. The idea that students that are comfortable, moving, and collaborating improves their learning has been researched and proven beneficial to students. Not only does mobility keep student thinking active, but it also allows students to work on making good choices because they have to put themselves into spaces that they believe will foster their own learning. After much deliberation, my plan is to change the traditional classroom seating (individual desks), and place different seating options at group tables and around the classroom to allow students the flexibility to work where they are most comfortable. Thank you!
