These books are for a group of third-grade boys who often have difficulty finding interesting books at their reading level. When they do find an interesting book that they can read independently, we usually only have one copy of it, so two or three of the children will crowd around it to read together. I found two books from this "My First Graphic Novel" series at the public library and gave them to the boys to try. They loved them and started planning who would get the book next. If we had multiple copies of books from this series, the students could read them side-by-side without craning over each other to see the pictures. We could even do a small-group book club about this series!
