Students love to find a special spot to work independently that is inviting and comfortable. We will utilize the beanbags we have requested to create a comfortable, inviting, quiet area where students can read independently or work quietly on an iPad assignment. These areas make the idea of reading quietly inviting and comfortable. It is a reinforcement for students to develop a true love of reading for pure enjoyment and entertainment. Students who learn to love reading become life long learners who are always increasing skills and knowledge. Many special education students study better in an environment that allows for differences in the individuals. Many students learn best when they can seek an environment that is more relaxed and quiet away from the group. They can use a lap board on a beanbag, completing individual work away from the interactions of a group. This greatly increases the student’s success increases overall student success.
