My 7th grade students are wonderful, dynamic young adults. They see the world through closed doors because of their families' economic status. They are lucky to attend a charter school that gives them the support, love and motivation for creating a stellar human being. My students attend an inner city charter school in Eastern Pennsylvania. Nearly all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch provided by the school, in hopes to promote happy, healthy, loved children. These children go to school each day hoping to become successful doctors and lawyers, trying to make it out of their poverty-stricken living conditions. Despite their outward appearances, these children have the stamina, determination, and heart to be successful citizens.
