We have guided reading groups in my classroom every single day and yet, we hardly have enough books to go around the school! We have a very small and very old library and many of the books we do have fail to teach or show diversity. I would love to give my English Language Learners the opportunity to read brand new books where they see themselves or their interests represented. Most of the books we read are printed out from Reading A-Z, which sends the message to my students that they don't deserve "real" books. These leveled reader packs will show them that they can read "real" books that are pertinent to them and on their reading level!
