This shaped table will allow students to be able to sit in their own space but also be able to hear me and their fellow classmates. The most beneficial part of this table is the teacher will be able to work more freely one-on-one with any student at any time. I do not have to ask students to constantly move over while doing quick assessments. The students will all be able to see and hear me. Although this may seem like a simple piece of furniture, in actuality, it would make a huge impact in our classroom! Guided reading is very important in third grade classrooms. Not only will we be using it for guided reading but also for our math groups, reading time, group project work and much more! Guided reading is one of the most important times of the day in third grade. Small group learning is more beneficial than whole group learning and you can help them become stronger readers this year!
