The items I have chosen are to increase confidence and engagement is my classroom. Most of my children enjoy singing. I believe music is a powerful unifier! My ultimate purpose is to increase confidence in all of my students, regardless of their academic capabilities. I specifically chose an Ibanez Artwood acoustic guitar because my small hands can fit around the fret board. The Ibanez guitar has a beautiful rich sound without breaking the bank. The guitar, amp and other accessories will be used to engage the class in singing. I also wish to perform in our school assemblies. I truly believe the items I am asking for will have a great impact on my students. Music and the arts are subjects that have been cut from most schools. Funding on this project will help infuse a little music back into the curriculum.
