The students in my school absolutely love learning and my favorite part about working with them is finding new and creative ways to keep them interested and excited. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies and styles to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! I know these learning games would keep the students excited to learn and explore. Math and Reading are so incredibly important, and finding different ways to instill that concept within a student at a young age is amazing to take part in! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky to be able to work with many different grade levels within varying subject areas! The specific language arts and math resources I would like to use in my classroom are word building tiles, word work activity stations, magnetic short vowels word building boards, touch & read blends & digraphs match, magnetic long vowels word building board and touch & read CVC words match. These resources would be used in small group activities to assist students that may need additional support in certain subject areas. I do word work in my reading groups everyday and these materials will help guide it. I am going to use the word building tiles to help the students build words based on the sounds they hear. They will change certain sounds to make new words! The short vowel, long vowel and blends and digraphs will help the students with their reading. This will allow them to practice their words so they can become more fluenct in reading. I hope you can help provide us with "Wonderful Word Work" so we can learn some more"! Thank you!
