Our school does not have a library, and most of my students do not have library cards or the time to go to the public library, so I will bring the library to them! My students are sponges and eager to learn. I want to instill the love of reading, not just what is in the curriculum. This year, I am going to start something called "First Chapter Friday". Each Friday, I will choose a different title and read the first chapter aloud. My goal is to pique interest and get my students to read on their own. I have asked for many high-interest titles and hope my students love each of the books I have chosen to share with them.
