The STEM materials I have selected would allow my students the opportunity to design and create things in our classroom. I have requested a coding robot to incorporate more technology into our classroom. This would allow students to have an experience that they would not otherwise be exposed to. The building materials such as K'NEX, planks and tiles I have requested would allow students to design structures and then have the opportunity to build them. This project would allow me to incorporate science and math into our existing curriculum. For example, while learning about the early settlers, I would like to have my students design houses and use the materials to build and test if their house would be able to sustain outdoor elements.
