Moving a classroom to a new school is an exciting fresh start, but its also a challenge. These multi-sensory activities and learning supports that I have selected for my classroom will help my students living with ASD transition to their new classroom in a stimulating and interesting environment. The seating and sensory supports/activities will help my students moderate their emotions and regulate the amount of stimulation they are receiving from their environment. These things are essential so the students are in a calm yet energized state to begin learning. The academic activities I have chosen are engaging, tactile and visual learning centers to help support the students to learn on their own after a whole group lesson has been taught. These will help engage learners on multisensory levels and heighten their sense of understanding.
