Being virtual has limited the amount of hands on experience with reading books. In April, students will be entering the classroom for the first time. These Rebus books will be used during independent reading and small groups. Students will have the opportunity to select books that interests them that will help build their reading skills and encourage the love of reading. The books will also tie in to the Science and Social Studies lessons being taught. My students are gaining confidence in their reading skills and the books will help them continue to build on that excitement.
