I am looking for funding to buy new welding helmets for our students. All of our classes weld and must have eye protection from harmful arc flash. The current welding helmets do not meet the need of our program and are in pour shape. With funding I would be able to purchase quality safety gear and create a greater pride within our students. Working with improper and poor safety gear not only effects their morale as a class but their quality of work as it limits their clarity of vision. Funds for new helmets would great aid in student success and create a much safer work environment for students.
