My students rediscovered a love of reading. They read each day for the first 15 minutes of class. Each student has read an average of 3 books. After reading one day, the students mentioned that they would love a comfy reading corner. This started me thinking of trying to acquire bean bag chairs for them to sit on while reading. This would give the classroom a more comfortable feel for the students, so they will continue to read in an environment that they enjoy. The bean bag chairs will be used during our independent reading time and will be available to those students that like to read after school in my classroom.
