Our playground is mostly flat. The shovels will encourage the children to plan hills for the sleds. The sleds when used on flat ground will require someone to pull them. The sleds will encourage cooperation and inventiveness in how to pull more quickly and easier. The sleds will build gross motor muscles and keep kids moving. My goal is to keep children engaged in the outdoors. Children will experiment with making trains with the sleds and tunnels with the shovels. Children will learn the outdoors can be fun! The active play and community of caring are added bonuses to the initial goal.

About my class
