Reading is a life long skill and finding ways to connect content for middle school students can help will make the learning meaningful and enjoyable. The titles selected would each share content relevant to middle school students and their stage of physical and emotional development. All our teachers are reading teachers because we read in every class; modeling good reading is a strategic part of making students successful. These books will assist with making connections while reading and the titles are rotated among the 7th grade homerooms. This sharing allows for content connections across the curriculum for all students and provides background knowledge for students to have a better understanding of the material.
