The phonics and counting games will be used to teach both literacy and math through play and hands on activities. The materials purchased will help children use critical thinking skills and strategies to problem solve while learning foundations skills of reading, writing and number sense. This project supports students in a non-traditional way of learning to help build and maintain social and emotional growth through play with peers. Students will use verbal and nonverbal ways of communication to express needs and wants. Children will work collaboratively and learn from one another through engaging activities that support learning in the classroom.
