Your generosity has made an immediate and meaningful difference for my students. With your help, our snack shelf is now fully stocked, and it has quickly become an essential part of our day.\r\nWe use these snacks to ensure students can stay focused, energized and ready to learn- especially during those moments when hunger becomes a distraction. One of my favorite moments was watching my students see all the snacks that we had receives and seeing the snack shelf filled. Their smiles said everything.\r\nThese snacks have also helped create a sense of security and comfort in our classroom community. Students know that if they need something to eat to help them learn, its there for them- no questions asked, I am eve able to send snacks home if I know they need something to get them by. The simple resource has made a big impact on there ability to stay engaged and confident throughout the day. \r\nAs we continue working through out current units in reading, writing, and math, having access to snacks allows students to concentrate longer, participate more fully, and feel cared for. They practiced place value, fractions, and problem-solving with tools that made abstract concepts more concrete. On the reading side, we utilized the new leveled books and comprehension tools to launch a small-group book club. Students were so excited to read books that matched their level and interests—they even asked if they could take them home!\r\n\r\nThey were thrilled! Some of them couldn't believe the books and games were actually for them to use.
