Many resources on this project are for my students to be able to use during a math and reading center. Research has shown that centers and a small group is where all the learning takes place. These resources can make those activities in the centers much more appealing to a first grader. What first grader doesn't want to use stamps to practice their spelling words. What first grader doesn't want to throw a dice to decide whether he's going to add or subtract two number. These center activities will be that much more exciting and inviting to the eye of a first grader with these great resources that we currently lack in our school.
