The Gaiam yoga ball chairs will allow my students with special needs to keep their attention focused on the lessons since the chairs enable their bodies to still be moving, albeit in a constructive way. Students that have attention deficit disorder or other attention issues benefit from being able to move or have a sensory stimulus. Reading is one area in particular where lack of focus is very detrimental to the student's achievement. Small, focused-reading groups at the table, increase the skills necessary for my students to be able to read. These chairs will enable my students to stay on task for the explicit instruction necessary for them to be successful in their goals.
